Shur-Line Paint edger - Product Review

For those ceilings/walls that are within reach but that you still need a step ladder in order to cut in neatly, try using the Shur-Line Paint edger. I always cut in by hand, but tried this the other day (things that are supposed to save time usually don't, BTW!) and it worked well. As long as you do the following.....DO NOT GET THE WHEELS WET! Okay, now that that's out of the way....use a regular paint tray, preferably with a disposable liner.

Shur-Line-Paint-edger-ReviewCarefully dip the pad into the paint as flat as you can, making sure that the entire pad is wet. Lightly scrape the excess paint off on the side of the tray with the wheels facing you. Start spreading the paint about 3 inches from the corner or edge and simply glide the wheels against the trim or wall that you're cutting into. One pass should do it. Repeat the process when the pad runs out of paint. Use the pad to swipe and flatten out any drips. Once you get the hang of it, you'll love doing it and you'll love the professional finish that it gives you. A well spent $3! Enjoy!

Zip Wall Duster Barrier - Product Review

Another product review. Zip Wall Dust Barrier. Works as advertised, you build a dust barrier to contain the dust to a specific area. It also comes with a couple of zippers that allow you to exit and enter without disturbing the poles. We're extending a closet for a customer and needed to demo the old one. We have a totally dust free room!Zip-Wall-dust-barrier-Review

One Tuff Drop Cloth - Product Review

Trimaco-drop-clothWhile canvas drop cloths have their place, they are slippery on wood floors and paint drips can seep through. We use canvas sparingly but prefer these TrimacoOne Tuff drop cloths. They absorb paint drips and don't rip. The best think is that they stay where put and don't slip! And, they're only about $8 for a 15x4 footer! Oh.....they last a long, long time!

Product Name: Trimaco One Tuff Drop Cloth
Approximate Price: $8

Hi Butch,

"I want to thank you earnestly for your efforts with your associate in restoring pride to our home after the previous tenants unfortunately had caused considerable damage. We really appreciate the excellent work which you did. We know whom to approach in the future for our home improvement needs. You were honest, punctual and patient with our schedule."

Thanks,

Nitin/ Shalini

"After speaking with Butch about the work we wanted done, he came promptly as promised to do a free estimate.  He was professional and courteous, listening to what we envisioned and offering suggestions about how to proceed.  Butch and John obviously know what they are talking about with regard to the work, materials, process and time line needed to complete the project.  We were very satisfied with the work they did.  They cleaned up afterward and left our house as they found it. I would highly recommend Butch and John to perform a home renovation and we would most certainly use them again."
